The Central region of Minas Gerais is bordered by the following regions: to the Northwest by Paranaiba, to the Northeast by Jequitinhonha-Mucuri, to the East by Rio Doce, to the Southeast by the Mata, to the Southwest by the South region and to the West by the Central West region.
